The second way to keep load times down is to make a seperate swf movie file for each section and have it load within the frame of the first. (Not as easy to update though)
The holy grail is to have the flash template be just a frame for a website, handling the menu, page transitions and some effects; But showing a regular html site within. (gifs, java and Dhtml scripts, advertisments and all)
